Job Description:
The Assistive Technology Specialist provides various instructional reports and strategies for Special Education students in all grade levels according to IDEA requirements.
Strategies may include appropriate access modifications, software, systems, and/or strategies that support instruction and access to the individual learning program.

Responsibilities:
Conducts classroom consultations for assistive technology implementation to support the least restrictive environments, differentiated instruction, and technology integration.
Provides ongoing support to teachers and students regarding software, device, and equipment with guidance on the proper usage.
Communicates and provides any updates to the IT department to ensure the software and equipment used on networked computers are adequate and functional.
Assesses and provide reports/findings and participates in multidisciplinary assessments to In-School team members as required.
Effectively interprets federal and state policy and procedures; tracks and interprets data.
Installs approved software, determines compatibility, and configures access technology.
Attends IEP meetings/staffing and reviews the results with the appropriate Team member to ensure they are aware of changes/updates.
